Below in this article, we will detail everything necessary for the use of Simplifica TV.

For our technology to function, the following infrastructure is required:

  • Simplifica.CI Player Kit (Hardware, cables, and software provided by Simplifica.CI)
  • Cloud File Server (Access to the panel provided by Simplifica.CI)
  • Internet Connection Link
  • Power Outlet for TV

1 - Simplifica.CI Player Kit

Our equipment is provided on loan to the client, consisting of a Mini PC (Raspberry PI 3 B hardware with Raspbian Buster operating system), including an HDMI cable for video output and a power adapter with INPUT 100-240VAC, OUTPUT 5V 3A.

The player allows internet connections via Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz IEEE 802.11.b/g/n/ac wireless LAN) or RJ45 cable, with network access to our servers required in both cases. If a 5GHz connection is required, our team should be notified in advance. You can find the list of required access in the section “3 - Internet Connection Link”.

The media storage capacity of each player is 8GB, according to the current programming.

All players have a unique identification code, which is used to link to the server, acting as the control key for downloading media addressed to it.

Along with the player, a proprietary software (Simplifica TV) is included, which communicates with the server via the internet. This software checks the server every minute through a JSON request of up to 10 bytes, its function being to check if there are any new files addressed to that player.

Check the following link to access the network settings available in the system menu embedded in the Simplifica.CI Player: How to identify network availability on the Simplifica.CI TV Player.

IMPORTANT: To access Wi-Fi, connect a USB keyboard to the device and press the space bar, which will display the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

If there is a file (video, image, or HTML), the player will start downloading it, which is done only once, keeping the file stored locally for display. This download occurs according to the available network bandwidth, with the download time equivalent to the available link, as there is no traffic control in the player software yet, downloading content according to the traffic limit released by the network manager. Therefore, it is important for the manager to configure the network link as described in section 3 “Internet Connection Link.”

During the download, the player does not stop displaying its previous schedule, updating transparently, imperceptible to those watching the screen.

The player's software menu can be accessed by connecting a USB keyboard and pressing the ESC key, where you will find various configuration options, such as searching for available Wi-Fi networks and entering the access password.

2 - Cloud File Server

Our management software is hosted in the cloud, allowing the content manager to access and manage the media that will be directed to the TVs.

At the time of contracting, the company receives access for an administrative user, who must create their own password. This user will have "Owner" rights, able to grant access to other administrators and restrict their access levels, defining, for example, which TVs each user can manage.

To enter the panel, visit: http://app.simplificaci.com.br.

We currently use servers allocated in Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure data centers, separating files and data access services between them.

Through the panel, accessing the Corporate TV section, administrative users can enable TV players, naming them with a semantic name linked to their identification code, to view in the panel which environment a particular TV is in. Our technology supports up to 12 video formats from the WEB Platform, including the main ones (.AVI, .MP4, etc.), but all are optimized and converted to .MP4 format upon upload via the platform.

The accepted image formats are: JPG and PNG (These also follow the same optimization and conversion principle if necessary via the web platform).

There is no limit for file hosting; all our plans offer unlimited space on our server. However, the player can download a schedule with up to 8GB of media. Above this, it will be necessary to replace some items in the schedule.

3 - Internet Connection Link The internet and Wi-Fi connection infrastructure (if applicable) must be provided by the client, using the already contracted service (if available) or hiring a provider for this service. As a requirement, the network to which the player will connect, if not open, needs to have the necessary permissions for access to our services, which are:

IMPORTANT SECURITY ASPECTS

In our player, you will have all the configuration mechanisms for adjusting network security, such as defining IP, Gateway, DNS, and MAC for each Ethernet or Wi-Fi card. It is the client's responsibility to ensure security according to the settings and maintenance of network restrictions through which our devices will have access.

For bandwidth control, if necessary, it should be done by the client's technical manager directly on the network used by the players, limiting the traffic accordingly, as our software will consume as available on the connected network. It is advisable that for every 5 players on the same network, the minimum bandwidth should be 10MB download and 1MB upload. This metric is not mandatory, but is the minimum suggested ensuring adequate traffic speed.

4 - Power Outlet Like any other electronic equipment, it is necessary to have a power supply at the location, which is the client's responsibility. Our player is powered directly by electrical power. If it is connected to the same outlet as the TV, ensure that there is a certified power strip to avoid short circuits and consequently accidents.

5 - TV Sets

This item is also the client's responsibility, whether purchased or rented. The TV can be of any size, but it is recommended to be above 32" with a Full HD screen. An HDMI connection is a mandatory requirement. For more information on the implementation steps, visit Implementing Corporate TV.

IMPORTANT: If you are the technical manager of a company that intends to contract or has already contracted our services, it is important to know that our support is remote, requiring the company to have qualified professionals to interact with our technical team when necessary. We have a specific chat for this purpose, which you can access by clicking on the link http://app.simplificaci.com.br/support.
